Step by Step Guide to Subscribe to BIMcloud as a Service (free 60-day access | COVID-19)

Today, March 24, 2020, GRAPHISOFT proudly enabled a global 60-days free access to BIMcloud as a Service to provide help and support for all its ARCHICAD customers all around the world during the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19). This subscription service can help ARCHICAD customers work remotely in teamwork during this unfortunate crisis. Please note that after 60 days, subscribers are free to cancel their subscription or continue at €68/month/user.   

What is BIMcloud as a Service?

BIMcloud as a Service enables real-time, secure teamwork between architects in the cloud. With a BIMcloud aaS subscription, the subscribers get access to their own private BIMcloud server hosted by GRAPHISOFT in the Google Cloud Platform. It means there is no need for any IT setup, and all ARCHICAD users can take advantage of this service within less than an hour. From now, all ARCHICAD users can share their teamwork projects in the cloud following a few steps that are explained in this step by step guide.  

How to create a BIMcloud as a Service subscription?

1- Go to BIMcloud as a Service website

2- Create a new company account by filling the sign-up form click on “Sign Up”

Important Reminders: 

Note 1: If you already have a GRAPHISOFT ID in any country than the UK, you must create a new account which will also be a unique GRAPHISOFT ID for your BIMcloud subscription. For example, if you have a GRAPHISOFT ID associated with your license in Spain, then create another account with another email to be the primary account of your BIMcloud server. Remember, later you can define your main GRAPHISOFT ID account as a user in your BIMcloud Server.   

Note 2: You do not need to create more than one account for your company as the other users can be created within the BIMcloud web platform

Note 3: Enter your company billing address correctly, to be able to validate your invoice and payment method during registration (The system will not charge you during first 60 days of subscription) 

3- Enter the number of licenses that your team need. For example, if you are a team of 5 architects and you all use ARCHICAD, and the other two senior architects should review the project, then you need to have 7 licenses.  

Note: Your subscription is free for the first 60 days, after 60 days you can choose to cancel your subscription or continue to use it for €68/month/user.

4- Enter a subdomain for your company on the BIMcloud server. For example, if the name of your company is “Arquitectos y Arquitectura SLP”, then enter a name like “arquitectosyarquitectura” or “ayaslp”.

Note: Remember that you cannot change that name later

5- In the section “Billing information”, enter the fiscal data of your company such a legal name, address, VAT number, etc. 

Note: As the license delivery is digital, you can tick “shipping address is same as billing address” checkbox

6- To activate your subscription, you should enter your credit card details, but your credit card will not be charged during first 60-days. 

Note: Your subscription is free for the first 60 days, after 60 days you can choose to cancel your subscription or continue to use it for €68/month/user

7- Set an additional email for further communications, such as receiving your tax invoice. 

8- Once your BIMcloud subscription is ready, you will get an email notification (typically in less than an hour). 

9- As soon as your subscription is activated, you will have a subscription tab with all necessary information to manage your billing information, invoice, etc.
