SIMBIM at the SMART CITY EXPO WORLD CONGRESS 2016
On November 15, 16, and 17, SIMBIM® Solutions presented BIM Solutions as part of the Smart City movement in the most important event of the year, the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona.
After the high success of the activity BIMCITY Plaza Event 2015, organised in partnership with Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) organisation (Fira Barcelona), SIMBIM® has presented its innovative solutions for the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) industry in the Smart City Village organised by 4YFN, in addition to participate in the Pitching Sessions on Tuesday 15th on the Smart City Plaza.
SIMBIM®, as an innovative startup in the AEC industry, joins 4 Years From Now (4YFN), the startup business platform of Mobile World Capital Barcelona that enables startups, investors and corporations to connect and launch new ventures together. For the second year, 4YFN enters Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) taking a village of smart tech innovators with them, all on a mission to support the development of our cities.
SIMBIM® had an exhibit demonstrating the possibilities of BIM with the most cutting edge European BIM authoring applications such as GRAPHISOFT ArchiCAD, Vintocon ArchiFM, Solibri, etc. and it shared its experience on BIM Implementation trough research and innovation on the Pitching Sessions of the Smart City Plaza..

BIMCITY Plaza Event was organized by SIMBIM® in partnership with Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) organization (Fira Barcelona) as one of the main activities at the smart central plaza during Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona on 17-19 November 2015. BIMCITY Plaza Event was a special opportunity for demonstration of BIM solutions, workflow, uses, and their benefits throughout a large-scale BIM pilot project. In this event the process and uses of Building Information Modeling demonstrated as a smart solution to the AEC industry. The uses have been addressed for project and construction management, architectural development, collision detection, visualizations, simulations, and facility/asset management. BIMCITY was the name of a pilot project, consisting of BIM modeling of the main exhibition area of SCEWC 2015 by means of all permanent building elements of expo building facilities in addition to around 440 exhibition stands of different exhibitors. This project was realized throughout integration of many European BIM tools towards a real sense of the OPEN-BIM agenda, such as GRAPHISOFT ArchiCAD, BIMserver, BIMcloud, BIMx, Solibri Model Checker, Abvent Twinmotion, and KUBUS BIMcollab.About Smart City Expo World Congress
