Performance, a differentiating key for ARCHICAD 23

ARCHICAD 23 brings a fast and highly reliable performance to deal with BIM models. We all know multi-core process capacity of ARCHICAD as a key differentiator between ARCHICAD and other BIM authoring software, but the new version of ARCHICAD brings much more smart way manage resources to provide better user experience. In this post I want to highlight 5 important new features of ARCHICAD 23 that provide much higher performance for different workflows:

Tab Preview: The concept of tabs and background processing solution to take advantage of idle resources has been introduced in previous version of ARCHICAD, but ARCHICAD 23 move one step forward and provide a fast preview for each tab to allow users to see each tab content in advance. This means in a faster way you can switch between the relevant tabs during your design and modeling process.
Rebuild Only What Has Changed: If you are existing user of ARCHICAD, you know when you need to refresh and rebuild a view, the software will reconstruct all the elements based on the model, but in ARCHICAD 23 the software will only rebuild new or changed elements. It means refresh and rebuild process is much faster, as there is no need to rebuild what is already processed.
Store Only Visible Parts of Linked Content/Drawings: ARCHICAD 23 will not anymore store cropped part of drawings in views and layouts, which means smaller file size, faster autosave and opening process. Isn’t it a smart way to keep only visible parts of a drawings?
New startup dialog: ARCHICAD 23 opening dialog box now graphically shows recent projects and let you open multiple projects at the same time, in addition to new search engine that allows you to search between recent projects. It means faster way to search and open the projects.
Notifications: ARCHICAD 23 will hide all unnecessary messages at the beginning such as missing libraries, hotlink modules, software updates, etc. But all these messages are important, so in ARCHICAD 23 we have a new tab called Action Center to manage all important notifications from one place.
