GRAPHISOFT signs a collaboration agreement with the UNIVERSITY OF NAVARRA

After two years of joint activities between SIMBIM® and the University of Navarra, on November 16th 2016 in Madrid, GRAPHISOFT (through ARCHICAD España) and the University of Navarra, signed a memorandum of understanding with the objective of establishing a framework of cooperation in technology, education and research related to BIM technology in Spain.

Within the framework of this agreement, the training programs developed by SIMBIM® for the learning of BIM + ArchiCAD are included as part of the academic curriculum from the current academic year 2016-2017. In addition, there will be multiple joint training activities and seminars for professionals.

The agreement was signed in Madrid at the event organised by the Hungarian Embassy in collaboration with the Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM), which presented the investment program for sports facilities carried out by the Hungarian Government. In that event, Mr. Csaba Tóth, Chief Investment Officer of the Office of the Government Commissioner, announced the current ongoing sports infrastructure projects, which were subsequently presented by the Hungarian architects responsible for their design and implementation. The Hungarian government launched the State Stages Investment Program in 2013, which provided for the remodelling of 26 facilities in the 2014-2016 budget cycle. The program had an important effect on the development of the economy, with investments reaching 500 million euros, which greatly contributed to stimulating the construction sector as well as the revival of its industry and the Hungarian economy after the crisis. In parallel, the construction of other important sports facilities, such as the swimming centre and other venues for the FINA 2017 World Swimming Championships are underway.
